First of all, choose the festivity you feel more
attracted to:
- Notting Hill Carnival – August 25th
- Columbus Day – October 12th
- Guy Fawkes – November 5th
- Thanksgiving – November 24th
- Veterans Day – November 11th
- Hannukah – December 25th
- Matin Luther King – January 18th
- Superbowl – February 5th
- Valentine’s Day – February 14th
- Mardi Gras – February 23rd
- St. Patrick’s Day – March 7th
- April Fools’ Day – April 1st
- St. George’s Day – April 23rd
- Easter
- Summer Soltice – June 21st
- NYC Pride – June 26th
- Glastonbury Festival – June 22nd – 26th
- Independence Day – July 4th
- Edinburgh Festival – August 5th – 29th
Second
of all, an available day. We will discuss it.
Last but certainly not least, you are supposed to take
some things into account:
- Your PowerPoint slideshows must start with an outline.
- Excessive content is not allowed on the slides – just important info., pics., etc.
- Reading is not allowed – we’ll be looking for eye contact and interaction with the rest of the class.
- If you decide to include audio or video, it must be relevant and it has to do with your point.
- Check possible spelling mistakes on slides – they’re quite embarrassing!
- Try to have fun and amuse people listening to you.
